I am sick and tired

of sin!

I'm fed up with the damage, and the destruction, and the devastation it causes, whether it be our own sin or the sin of others committed against us. I especially hate the effect it has on those too young to understand.

May God's word help us discern the sin in ourselves that we need to deal with at the cross of Christ, and may it also give us the strength and encouragement we need to endure the effects of sin committed against us, just as Christ, for the joy set before him, endured the cross on our behalf and is now glorified at the side of God the Father.

okay I am trying this thing out but I am still trying to figure out how to use it. All the other sites I have been to make it a lot easier to find people and topics but maybe I am doing it wrong

I guess I don't use blogs the same way I use a chatsite like Facebook or MySpace. To me, the blogs I frequent are more like journals with a little feedback from a few close friends. I like to see some serious discussion/debate going on. (I loved Puritan Kevin's blog, but he seems to have discontinued it for now!) I save the trivia, chat, and silly stuff for Facebook.

I also like how easy it is to manage Blogspot. Except for the first couple of weeks, I haven't had any problems with inappropriate posts. And I can easily tighten up my security by disallowing anonymous comments or even requiring blog owner approval of comments before they can be posted.

I have been very disappointed and even shocked to see some of the inappropriate and immature comments and photos coming from young people I know from church/school on Facebook and MySpace. They hurt my heart, so I don't frequent such chat-type sites very often. I find Blogspot immensely more pleasant both to read and use.
